Upon receiving a USDA grant, we began working with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe on this project. The location was a highly visible corner just down the street from the Soaring Eagle Casino and across the street from their Tribal Governmental building. The site was once home to a farmhouse and barn which provided us design clues for the farmers market pavilion through pictures and research. The 2,000 SF facility provides shelter for many activities besides the yearly farmers market, with barrier free parking and convenient access for the public.
The Native American Pow Wow is an annual celebration of song and dance. This is a time to renew Native American culture and preserve the rich heritage of American Indians.
Learn MoreCompleted in 2017, this pavilion provides year round use from Farmers Market to Ice Skating.
