The City of Auburn, MI wanted to cover their existing ice rink and provide covered space for their Farmers Market and other community activities. We used a pre-engineered metal structure for the open space (complete with three large cupolas for natural light), and concrete masonry (CMU) for durability in the toilet room and concession building. The rainwater run-off will be directed to the adjacent pond by sculpting the land while providing lawn berms for additional seating around the pavilion.
